Newborn Intensive Care Specialist (NICS), a multi-faceted healthcare organization committed to providing specialty medical services for ill, premature or well babies seeks a board certified Pediatrician to direct pediatric hospitalist services at two of their Houston hospitals.  The ideal candidate will be licensed in the state of Texas and possess 5 years of practice experience with at least one year of hospitalist experience.

The addition of Pediatric Hospitalists will provide a continuum of care to NICS patients.  Responsibilities include caring for well babies from birth to 18 years of age.  Additionally, the director will be responsible for program development to include the marketing of the service to pediatricians and hospital leadership.
NICS offers an alternative newborn intensive care service to hospitals throughout the state of Texas.  With more than 50 qualified employees on staff, NICS has grown to include multiple partner hospitals developing Level 2 and Level 3 Newborn Intensive Care Units.

(In addition to the director, NICS is also seeking a staff level Pediatric Hospitalist.)  Their goal is to have both positions in place by the beginning of 2010.
