IMAGINE SOMETHING MORE….
If you are looking for an opportunity to work with a team that is transforming care at the bedside and leading the way toward excellence in customer service and clinical outcomes, this may be the career path for you. Saint Mary’s is continuing to define what "Something More" means to our patients, our physicians, our staff and our community. We need nurse leaders like you who bring new ideas, new strategies and innovation to this very important work.
Saint Mary’s Health Care is seeking a Master’s prepared Advance Practice Nurse for the Maternal-Child Service Line. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of nursing experience in an acute care maternal child setting. Working with a dynamic leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Specialist performs the roles of expert practitioner, consultant, implements evidence-based practice, and education within the service line. Populations served by this CNS are as diverse as the patients themselves. The CNS must have a passion for women, children and families. The role of the CNS often extends beyond a specific unit in performing hospital wide change efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate that s/he can provide leadership towards our clinical, financial and quality goals while engaging staff and physicians in the process.
Saint Mary’s Nurses have dedicated themselves to becoming the best: we won’t be satisfied until all of our customers experience the best quality and service in every encounter. We’re seeking a person whose clinical skills, communication and leadership skills will motivate and inspire others, even if when this challenges the status quo.
The Maternal-Child CNS works collaboratively with other members of the Medical Services Team including the Clinical Service Director, Managers, and Educational Coordinator. Other APNs and a Director of Practice and Education provide additional support and integration of advance practice throughout the hospital. As a teaching hospital we are associated with both Obstetrical and Gynecological Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Programs.
This is an opportunity for the nurse leader who knows that healthcare service delivery can be transformed and who wants to play a significant role in this transformation. You may check us out on our new web portal for nursing at www.saintmarysnursing.org
