Requirements:

Must have current license to practice in the State of Alabama; MD or foreign degree equivalent; completed residency for board eligibility and certification preferred; willing to rotate at other clinics in the vicinity; able to obtain hospital privileges at local hospitals.

Responsibilities:

The physician is responsible for all preventive, diagnostic, treatment and referral care they render whereas their duties include: accountable for the provision of medical care provided; work with Corporate Compliance Officer in the implementation of the Health Care Plan; respond to Medical Director's comments/suggestions regarding peer review; provide medical care to all persons presenting to FQHC; participate in medical staff meetings; coordinate medical care and appropriate referrals for patients; maintain competence and quality of all clinical services rendered; assist in the orientation of clinical staff; perform and responsible for appropriate coding of all patient encounters; maintain an active membership role in state and local medical associations; participate in programs to identify community health care needs; participate in activities to enhance public awareness of organization's health care services and the utilization of its disease prevention and wellness programs.
