Recreational activities are plentiful in any season. Boating and fishing on one of the many area rivers, the bay of Green Bay, or Lake Michigan are popular activities during the warmer months for the sports enthusiast. Nature lovers can take advantage of the scenic countryside by hiking, bicycling, or camping. In the winter months continue to enjoy outside recreation by sledding, cross-country or downhill skiing, or if you prefer, snowmobiling along one of the many trails that crisscross the countryside. The region boasts many resorts that attract visitors from neighboring states.
Sports fans have plenty of opportunity to watch professional games, including Green Bay Packers football, Timber Rattlers minor league base-ball, the Green Bay Bombers indoor football, and the Green Bay Gamblers hockey.
Green Bay is also home to a world-class performing arts center, two symphony orchestras, comedy clubs, museums, zoos, and a wildlife sanctuary. The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and St. Norbert's college add to the local amenities.
