We are looking for a Board Certified/Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join a busy multi-practice clinic. We are offering the following benefits:
 
  • Guaranteed salary of $500,000 with real potential for a bonus based on productivity.
  • $50,000 sign on bonus forgiven over 3 years
  • $10,000 for relocation expenses ( with receipts)
  • $5,000 annual CME allowance
  • 7 weeks of vacation
  • 401K and 457 retirement plan with an annual generous contribution by employer.
  • Call in one in three (lighter in the summer, heavier in the winter).

 
Grand View Health System includes a 25 bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisc., surgical clinic, ophthalmology clinic and a home health agency. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 5 OB units, and 4 surgical units.  The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approx. 11,000 visits/annually. The hospital’s inpatient census is 12 patients/day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.  The medical staff includes Family Practitioners, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, OB/Gyn, Oncology, Radiology, weekend Hospitalist, Pathology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and supporting Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.  Consulting and courtesy medical staff includes Cardiology, Pulmonology, Urology, and ENT.
 
Ironwood Michigan is located on the far western end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Gogebic County . Ironwood is approx. 15 miles from the shores of Lake Superior . The population of Gogebic County is approximately 17,000.  Grand View’s service area covers approximately 30,000 people.  While the community is rural, Ironwood has a local airport that keeps us connected to other major airports. Near by cities include: Duluth MN 110 miles west, Minneapolis MN 240 miles southwest, Wausau Wisc 120 miles south, Madison Wisc. 250 miles south.
   Numerous festivities are held throughout the year, various entertainment at the downtown historical theatre. Hiking can be enjoyed at any of the numerous parks, including the Black River National Forest byway/waterfalls or the Apostle Island National Park . The area offers an abundance of fishing, hunting, camping, biking, alpine and Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, canoeing/kayaking, and golfing.  The area has 4 local public school systems and several parochial schools where the students benefit from a low student/teacher ration.   Gogebic County is also home to the Gogebic Community College .
