Requirements:

Master of Science Degree or higher in Nursing; Current Registered Nursing License in the State of Alabama; Certification as Registered Nurse Practitioner. Ability to work effectively in a stressful and busy environment and be able to document services provided.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care in all areas listed in position summaries and as/so directed by supervision/sponsoring MD, both acute and chronic; elicits and records accurate health histories, performs physical examinations and records findings; differentiates normal from abnormal findings in physical examinations; selects and interprets pertinent lab tests as required in the management of patients; prescribes authorized categories of drugs reflecting the needs of the medical practice in which CRNP works, adhering to established clinical products; collaborates and interfaces with other members of the health care team to provide family centered care; coordinator/provider of the well-child screenings at Clinic sites where direct care responsibilities are assigned; make appropriate referrals; coordinator of the Immunization Program for all sites ; coordinator for the Alabama State Breast Cancer and Cervical Screening Program; and other duties as assigned.
