Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway is a 240-bed community hospital founded in 1917.  The Emergency Department was renovated in 2005 and is now triple the size of the former department, with 23 patient bays.  Rahway sees 33,000 ED visits and 13,000 hospital admissions per year.  A double triage room and dedicated Fast Track area allow staff to process and treat patients in an expedited manner.  Join the group at Rahway and enjoy flexible scheduling, while working along side our stable team of emergency physicians.

The City of Rahway is located in Union County, New Jersey, approximately 15 miles southwest of Manhattan.  Proud of its history as one of New Jersey’s oldest settlements, Rahway was the site of Revolutionary War battles, with 42 Revolutionary soldiers buried in the city cemetery.  Rahway is a short distance to the North Jersey Shore and to the mountain and lake regions of northern New Jersey, which are popular winter and summer vacation destinations.  This city and its surrounding communities offer affordable housing, good school systems, and an excellent quality of life.
