National Jewish Health
National Jewish Health has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the top respiratory hospital in the nation. This year marks the 18th time that National Jewish Health has ranked #1 in Pulmonology & Lung Surgery. We also were rated “High Performing,” the highest rating available, for COPD and Lung Cancer Surgery in common conditions and procedures.
We bring expertise, compassion and intelligence to provide the best care possible that earns us this prestigious honor. Our intense focus on the whole patient and the extended time we devote to each person allow us to provide care available nowhere else.
Of course, no single ranking can fully measure the quality of care given at any specific hospital, and every ranking system has shortcomings. That is why we look at many measures, including patient-satisfaction surveys, research grants, scientific publications and many others to evaluate our own performance. Together, they paint a convincing picture that we are indeed the leading respiratory hospital in the nation.
Since 2011, U.S. News has ranked National Jewish Health together with our longtime academic affiliate the University of Colorado Hospital. Our tremendous collaborations with Saint Joseph Hospital and SCL Health in Denver, Mount Sinai in New York and Jefferson Health in Philadelphia are not reflected in the rankings, but make us even stronger, improving our ability to care for patients in Denver and around the nation.
