Good Shepherd Health Care Systemis a 25-bed non-profit hospital located in Eastern Oregon and is one of the largest employers within the community. Hermiston is well over 16,000 in population and currently services a population of 50,000 with their healthcare needs. GSHCS has undergone recent remodeling and expansions to include a new state of the art diagnostic imaging center, emergency department, and newly completed women s medical center. Good Shepherd has been voted as a top employer in the State of Oregon (201) as well as voted twice as a top 100 Critical Access Hospitals.

Hermiston schools district is well funded and education focused with three new schools in the community. Hermiston also offers two parochial schools (Hermiston Junior Academy and/or Hermiston Christian School). Hermiston High School was voted the #1 Prep School in the State of Oregon. A large sports curriculum is also available within the school district (Football, Soccer, Wrestling, Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, La Crosse, and so much more). We won the 2014 Football State Championship.
