Holzer Health System is a multi-specialty group practice. Our 160+ provders have been providing our communities with unparalleled medical care for the past 50 years. Our expansion into new communities as well as the development and construction of the Holzer Center for Cancer Care, Holzer Cardiovascular Institute, three ambulatory surgery centers and our newly developed Family Medicine Graudation Medical Education programs ensure the future will be just as bright.
Guided by our core principle, "The patient's welfare must be the prime criteria for all decisions." We have successfully grown and expanded to provide our community the best healthcare in the region. Many of our campuses include a pharmacy, lab, diagnostic testing center, surgery center, and therapy services in addition to our 30+ medical specialties. This enables our patients to have their medical care in one place.
About our Communities
Holzer Health System is located along the gently rolling hills of the scenic Ohio River Valley. Our eight campuses serve an area that measures both 100 miles east to west and north to south. Our location is geographically rich and diverse, boasting many artistic, cultural, and historic attractions. We are centrally located, where a short drive can get you metropolitan areas or to some of the best skiing and whitewater rafting in the eastern United States.
Educational opportunities are abundant with two major universities in our area; Ohio University in Athens, OH and Marshall University in Huntington, WV. In addition, the University of Rio Grande is a comprehensive university providing a quality liberal arts education, as well as a post secondary option where area students can obtain college credits while still in high school.
Come and practice quality medicine in state of the art facilities while living in an area that is characterized as much by its friendly people and strong values as by its picturesque charm and breathe taking scenery. Many places claim to have Medical Excellence and Local Caring, but here at Holzer we live it every day.
