Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York, is a 290-bed not-for-profit community medical center that offers the most specialized and comprehensive range of inpatients and outpatient healthcare services in our region. Our compassionate team of highly qualified healthcare professionals proudly provides services to a population of 250,000.  

Every day, 180 physicians in 45 different specialties along with more than 2,000 support staff at Samaritan Medical Center offer a full spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services for people of all ages. Samaritan also serves the soldiers and families of our Fort Drum community.  For over 30 years, the unique relationship between the tri-county area and our military community at Fort Drum has grown strong.  Serving as a model of military-community collaboration, it's shown the true power of respect, friendship and collaboration.  In 2018, a nomination was submitted for the North Country Region to be designated as a Great American Defense Community.

In the fall of 2018 Samaritan opened a newly built cancer center called the "Walker Center for Cancer Care."  The new center provides patients with great care and compassion, along with cutting-edge treatment options. Most recent is the completion of our new Center for Women's Wellness and Breast Care offering comprehensive services in one location from seeing moms-to-be for specialized pregnancy care, to supporting all women with gynecologic and breast services.
