About Good Samaritan:  For more than a century, Good Samaritan has been a health care leader in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois. As a regional hospital, Good Samaritan draws patients from a service area of over 220,000 people. With more than 100 highly qualified physicians on our medical staff, Good Samaritan provides superior care in more than 458,000 outpatient visits and approximately 40,000 ER visits per year.

In 1908, we opened our doors to serve our community’s health needs. Over the years, that single building has become many as we have responded to changing medical needs and the area’s growth. But one thing has never changed – our mission to serve. It is put into action every day by dedicated health-care professionals, employees and volunteers.  From our main hospital campus to outpatient clinics and specialty offices, the expansion of the Good Samaritan Healthcare System has always been patient-focused.  On July 15, 2015, Good Samaritan moved its first patient into our multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art 5 story patient tower, marking a monumental endeavor for the hospital, the employees, the community and our patients.
