Tidelands Health is Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and 60 outpatient clinics serving three counties in coastal South Carolina. Our trained professionals adopt a team approach in providing care for our growing communities. For all our patients, we provide a skilled, caring interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate the evaluation and administration of all treatment. We work hard to make the experience at one of our hospitals and clinics as comfortable and convenient as possible, both for our patients and for their family members. Our goal is better living by better health. We serve over 340,000 in our primary service area and another 110,000 in the secondary area.

Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed, acute-care facility. We offer state-of-the-art equipment and provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. Support groups, community outreach and educational programs and special events such as health fairs and weekly screening opportunities support a demonstrated commitment to our community’s health. Located in the historic seaport city of Georgetown, approximately 40 miles south of Myrtle Beach and an hour north of Charleston, Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital’s current campus includes 20 acres in a tranquil, tree-lined setting surrounded by graceful Colonial and antebellum homes. We finished a new surgical center with four ORs and physician practices recently and a major renovation of the hospital itself in 2016 with a $30 million project.

Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital, which opened in November 2002, consists of 125 all-private patient rooms and 26 acute inpatient rehabilitation beds for a total of 151 inpatient beds. Like Tidelands Georgetown Memoral Hospital, Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital also offers outpatient services, community programs and special events. It serves the fast growing northern section of Georgetown County and southern Horry County. Murrells Inlet, a fishing village nicknamed the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina," has a unique Marshwalk and creekside park offering residents and visitors magnificent marsh views. Another local landmark is Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden created by Anna and Archer Huntington which showcases remarkable sculptures and acres of vivid gardens. Across highway 17 from the gardens, Huntington Beach State Park offers access to natural beaches and other family recreation.

The Tidelands Health family includes a variety of other services located at sites throughout Georgetown County: HealthPoint - Center for Health and Fitness, NextStep Rehabilitation Services, NextStep Pain Management Services, and Wound Healing Center, The Francis B. Ford Cancer Treatment Center and The Imaging Center and Breast Health Center at Waccamaw Medical Park. There are 60 outpatient sites and clinics under the Tidelands Health system to meet our growing areas health care needs. We continue to be private. community-based and independent.
