Adventist Health Delano Regional Medical Center opened its doors on January 17, 1974, as a community hospital. Over nearly five decades, our hospital has grown in both size and technological expertise. Located in the second-largest city in Kern County, the cultural diversity in the rural communities we serve brings vitality and energy to our everyday lives. We serve 10 rural Central California cities and have always been committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. With a total of 156 beds, the medical center is accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP).

The hospital provides:
• Medical-surgical and ICU units
• Inpatient and outpatient surgical services: bariatrics; orthopedics; podiatry; ear, nose and throat; gynecology; and urology
• Women’s and children’s services: maternity education, labor and delivery, breastfeeding clinic and family planning
• Pediatric services through its pediatric-approved emergency department, inpatient units and medical offices
• 24-hour “basic” emergency services licensed for 10 treatment stations
• Helipad to support patient transports
• Outpatient imaging services, include: X-ray, CT scanner, CT angiography, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and fluoroscopy
• Stroke and neurology services: on-call coverage provided via telemedicine for patients suffering neurologic disorders
• Five-star long-term care services
• Podiatry services
• Occupational, speech and physical therapy services
• Wound care services
• Primary care and women’s health services through medical offices in Delano and Wasco
• Retail pharmacy
