Adventist Health Reedley (AHRD), part of Adventist Health's Central Valley Network, is a 49-bed medical center that serves 12 communities in southern Fresno and Tulare counties in Central California. Services include 20 large private birth center rooms, eight rural health medical offices, 24-hour standby emergency care, lab, medical imaging and surgery services.
The three acute-care medical centers that comprise the Central Valley Network are Adventist Health Reedley, Adventist Health Hanford and Adventist Health Selma. Together in 2016, these medical centers had 15,309 admissions, 3,726 deliveries, 154,318 emergency visits, and 885,807 outpatient visits. The network is staffed by 479 physicians, 2,871 employees and 260 active volunteers.
In 2014, Adventist Health Reedley was among 130 top performing U.S. medical centers recognized by the Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes for its outstanding performance in reducing hospital-acquired conditions during 2013.
Known as the "World's Fruit Basket," Reedley is located in the central San Joaquin Valley portion of California, lying just inland between the state's coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed. The Monterey Peninsula and Pacific Ocean are less than three hours away. The Valley floor is the richest intensive agricultural production area in the world. Reedley's economy is predominantly based upon agricultural production and agriculturally oriented industry. More fresh fruit produce is grown and shipped from Reedley than from any other area of the world.
