About the Medical Center

Adventist Health Sonora has roots back to the early 1900s when the Bromley Sanitarium opened in downtown Sonora. In the 1950s, Sonora Community Hospital was opened on Forest Road, and in 2004, we unveiled our present Greenley Road campus. Our latest addition is the 64,000-square-foot Health Pavilion and Diana J. White Cancer Institute, providing innovative, patient-centered care with the latest technology in cancer care and diagnostic imaging as well as primary care, rehabilitation and laboratory services.

We owe much of our heritage and organizational success to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which has long been a promoter of prevention and whole-person care. Our mission is to live God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope. We aim to bring health and healing to our neighbors of all faiths, regardless of his or her personal beliefs.
