Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) Sandusky, OH

Community Overview:

It’s something you know as soon as you experience it. Our communities — the Northeast Ohio community — are deeply ingrained into our work, our volunteerism and our daily lives. We are truly a part of the communities we serve, and the communities are a part of us. You’ll be proud to tell people you meet that you work at Akron Children’s as their faces light up and they tell you their own connection to the Hospital. Working at Akron Children’s gives you so many opportunities to live in, work in and love Northeast Ohio.

Sandusky is an old port town on the southern shore of Lake Erie. The area has evolved into a major recreation and entertainment destination with offshore islands and bays and the famed Cedar Point amusement park.  The downtown area has gone through considerable renewal and is attractive with historic interests. There is a new waterfront park and redevelopment zone. At approximately 60 miles from both Cleveland to the east and Toledo to the west along the Ohio Turnpike, big city services are easy to access.

The City of Sandusky is fortunate to be able to offer a variety of public parks and recreational facilities. Whether you choose to stroll through our floral gardens in Washington Park, play ball on one of our 17 ball diamonds, challenge the links at Mills Creek Golf Course, launch a boat to go fishing on Lake Erie, plan a picnic at one of our many shelters, or watch a picturesque sunset on the Bay, Sandusky offers it all.
