Andrews Air Force Base
Often called "The Gateway to the Nation's Capitol," Andrews has seen not only our own government leaders, but kings, queens, prime ministers and military leaders from more than 50 nations fly on its aircraft and transit through the base. People stationed here may see or even participate in events and operations that directly affect the course of world events. Andrews is constantly featured in the public spotlight on national and international television, radio, newspapers and magazines.
Andrews Air Force Base serves nearly 335,000 beneficiaries and maintains medical wartime readiness. The medical center has 60 inpatient beds and can expand to 302 beds during wartime or a national emergency.
