AVERA MEDICAL GROUP - WINDOM is a clinic with two family medicine physicians: Dr. Mary Olson, Dr. Rod Dynes and Brenda Norby, PA-C. The opportunity to practice obstetrics is an option, but not a requirement. The call schedule would be 1:7 with the addition of another physician to the practice. This is a great opportunity for a family physician who wants to practice medicine and have time to be involved in their children's lives. The physicians and staff are employed by Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD and will receive a competitive base salary with production incentives and an excellent benefit package.
WINDOM AREA HOSPITAL
Windom Area Hospital is a 35-bed facility owned by the City of Windom. The hospital has an average census of 10 to 15 patients and assists in the delivery of approximately 15 newborns each month. The hospital recently completed the addition of a new Emergency Department and CT Scanner.
Windom offers activities year-round such as raquetball, ice rink, court basketball, archery range, horse shows, 9-hole golf course, and fitness center with state of the art exercise equipment. The community has 10 parks that provide an outdoor swimming pool, softball and baseball diamonds, playgrounds, campgrounds, and canoeing and fishing on the Des Moines River and Cottonwood Lake.
Windom has excellent public schools with 75% of high school graduates continuing their education at post-secondary schools. There is one K-4 elementary school with all day kindergarten, one middle school grades 5-8 and one high school grades 9-12. Number of students enrolled in K-12 is approximately 1200 students.
