BJC HealthCare

BJC HealthCare Logo BJC Health System is one of the largest integrated healthcare delivery systems in the United States. Established in November 1992, the system serves residents in Missouri and southern Illinois through a network of more than 100 ambulatory care delivery sites, as well as 13 hospitals and five nursing homes. BJC was the first health system in the country to combine urban, suburban and rural healthcare facilities with an academic medical center, the renowned Washington University Medical Center.

Two of BJC’s hospitals -- Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital -- serve as teaching hospitals for Washington University School of Medicine and are ranked among the best hospitals in the nation. In recognition for its efforts to enhance the quality of care provided to patients, BJC Health System received the 1999 Quality Award from the National Committee for Quality Health Care.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is ranked seventh by U.S. News & World Report, the only Missouri hospital listed on the prestigious "Honor Roll.".
