Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is a 480-bed tertiary care center and the only state-accredited Level II Adult Trauma Center in Pinellas County. With advanced technology and expertise in numerous specialties, including cardiovascular, neuroscience, obstetrics, digestive health, orthopedics, surgery, emergency and trauma, and acute rehabilitation, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. The hospital is designated as a Level 2 Adult Cardiovascular Services hospital and a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and holds Joint Commission certification in hip and knee joint replacement. A 38-bed neurosciences unit has a dedicated neurology team with subspecialty expertise in stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease and includes a Level IV Epilepsy Center. Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Baby Place offers full obstetrical care and, in partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, is a state-certified Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPICC) — one of only 13 in Florida.
