Bayhealth Medical Group

Bayhealth Medical Center is central and southern Delaware’s largest healthcare system.  Bayhealth is comprised of Kent General and Milford Memorial Hospitals, Emergency, Outpatient, and Sleep Care centers distributed throughout the service area.  The system employs more than 3,100 people, including a medical staff of over 500 physicians.   Bayhealth is a member of the Penn Cancer Network and is an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania Health System - Penn Cardiac Care and Penn Orthopedics.  Bayhealth is building a new replacement hospital in Milford on 160 acres.  Bayhealth is also implementing Epic as its system EMR.

Bayhealth is a leader in providing superior patient care.  Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital are both accredited by the Joint Commission, and in addition, numerous departments have earned additional certifications and accreditations.  Bayhealth is one of 140 hospitals and medical centers around the world to partner with Planetree to provide patient-centered holistic approaches to healing.  Plans are underway to build a new State-of-the-Art Hospital in Milford.  Scheduled completion is 2018.
