Carolinas Hospital System - Marion becomes the sixth CHS–affiliated, acute–care hospital in South Carolina. It is located 20 miles east of Carolinas Hospital System, an affiliated, 420–bed, tertiary hospital in Florence, SC.

Carolinas Hospital System - Marion operates hospital-owned practices providing pediatric care, internal medicine, general surgery, family medicine, and obstetrics, gynecology and orthopaedics. 

Carolinas Hospital System - Marion is one of the largest employers in Marion County, with approximately 500 employees. It has 30 active physicians, 90 physicians on courtesy and consulting staff, and 29 advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.

It serves as the seat of   Marion County.
