Community Health Center of Fort Dodge
Fort Dodge is a city in the county of Webster County, Iowa along the Des Moines River. Population of approximately 25,000. Fort Dodge is located 1 ½ hours from Des Moines, three hours from Minneapolis, three hours from Sioux Falls and six hours from Chicago. It is a very family oriented city and a wonderful place to raise children. The city is surrounded by many smaller communities and farms.
The area has many wonderful parks and water activities at several surrounding lakes. Outdoor sports, such as fishing and hunting, hiking and camping provide excellent family entertainment. There is a golf course, arts, theatre and musical theatre, and many family events throughout the year. Quality education is a priority. The major industries of Fort Dodge are biofuels, livestock feed, gypsum and limestone mining, drywall manufacturing, trucking, the manufacture of veterinary pharmaceuticals and vaccines, and retail.
Unity Point Hospital, formerly Trinity Regional Medical Center, is Fort Dodge's only hospital.
