Copper Hills Youth Center is an adolescent residential treatment facility (ages 12-17) conveniently located 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City International Airport in West Jordan, UT.
Our Mission is to provide a structured and therapeutic environment with individualized treatment to encourage progress, growth and healing. We are fully Joint Commission accredited and licensed by Utah Department of Human Services and our non-public school is fully accredited by AdvanceED Treatment Programs. We offer specialized therapeutic programs for male and female adolescents and a male Autism Spectrum Disorder specialty program. Chemical Dependency and Substance Abuse Treatment Services are also available. We utilize a Phase Program designed for a trauma-focused level of care.
Every adolescent referred to our program has a unique set of circumstances that are considered in our admission process. We will request previous treatment records in order to determine if Copper Hills Youth Center offers the most appropriate level of care. If our Admissions and Clinical department does not believe that we can offer the most appropriate level of care, we will make every effort to assist in providing you with other options.
In the spring of 2011, the Copper Hills Youth Center’s leadership team began the journey of creating a trauma-informed model of care for our residents and staff. Recognizing the profound role of trauma and attachment wounds that shape so much of the behavioral problems that result in residential placement, Copper Hills has embarked on an ambitious trauma initiative to create a true trauma-informed care model that provides the blueprint for our approach to treatment.
