Doctors' Memorial Hospital. Since 1957, we have proudly offered excellent medical care here in Perry, Florida. Through a partnership with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, we are bringing new resources, technology and best practices to Taylor County so we can continue to offer advanced medical care to our community. DMH is a beautiful modern facility staffed by highly trained caring individuals. DMH provides an array of technology usually only found in large cities including a 64 slice CT scanner, 1.5 MRI, digital mammography and digital ultrasound and ECHO. Other services provided at DMH that may surprise you include surgery, pediatrics, endoscopy, home health, nuclear medicine and physical therapy. Our specialty clinic brings physicians such as cardiologists, urologists, orthopedists, dermatologists and oncologists to Taylor County so that patients will not have to travel to surrounding cities for these services.

 Perry, Florida was first called Rosehead.  It is not known how this name was chosen.  In 1875 the name was changed to Perrytown after Madison Stark Perry, Florida's fourth Governor.  Later the "town" was dropped and the name became Perry.

    The City of Perry is the only incorporated city in Taylor County, Florida.  It was incorporated in 1903 and adopted its City Charter on May 12, 1981.  The City's population as of 2004 was estimated to be 6,703. (U. S. Census Bureau)
