This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Evansville Health Care Center within the Marion VA Health Care System in VISN 15. The Marion, Illinois VA Health Care System provides care to approximately 43,000 Veterans annually in 27 counties in Southern Illinois, 8 counties in Southwestern Indiana, and 17 counties in Northwest Kentucky. The VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois, is a general medical and surgical facility that operates 55 acute care beds and a 60 bed Community Living Center. Nine Outpatient Clinics that provide primary care and behavioral medicine services are located in Effingham, Harrisburg and Mt. Vernon, IL; Paducah; Hanson; Owensboro; and Mayfield, Kentucky; Vincennes, IN and the Evansville Health Care Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The Evansville Health Care Center is a large outpatient clinic that provides care to approximately 15,000 Veterans annually. Primary Care, Behavioral Medicine and a variety of medicine and surgical specialty services are provided. These include: Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Nephrology, Optometry, Gastroenterology, Podiatry, Pain, and Orthopedic Surgery. In addition, Imaging, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Physical Medicine services are available.
