This community of is serviced by a 25-bed critical access hospital offering Level IV Trauma services. The hospital has a primary service area of 15,000 and employs 220 people across a wide range of skill levels, from highly trained doctors, nurses, therapists and technicians to workers in environmental and food services. Along with being one of the largest employers in the county, this hospital has many staff members who have worked here for over 15 years, five of whom have dedicated over 30 years to the community. The new hospital was built in 2009 after the local Community College donated 15 acres of land and $900,000 for infrastructure. The previous facility now serves as a Clinic, home to 9 providers, offering a variety of services that include: OB/GYN, family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine and general surgery. In addition, patients needing help with diabetes and wellness can meet with our certified educator.
