People are at the heart of all we do.
One of the many ways we care for our patients, families and community is by taking care of our team.
Our efforts to create a healthy and vital workplace culture that nurtures the career, personal and financial health goals of our team members are making the world take notice in exceptional ways.
In the last 12 months, we have been recognized by Forbes, Becker’s Health Review and Gallup for our extraordinary ability to engage our team.
In April 2015, trusted business resource and publication Forbes directly surveyed more than 20,000 individuals at more than 1,100 companies. As a result, Lakeland Regional Health was named number 28 on its America’s Best Employers list and one of the country’s top five healthcare employers. Other notable organizations on the list include Google, BMW Group and Harley Davidson.
For two years in a row, Lakeland Regional Health has been one of 40 or fewer organizations throughout the world to earn a Gallup Great Workplace Award. The Gallup Great Workplace Award recognizes companies that have achieved engagement excellence for their extraordinary ability to create an engaged workplace culture. Top-performing organizations such as Lakeland Regional Health have been found to have an average ratio of nine engaged employees for every one actively disengaged employee. This is more than five times the ratio Gallup found in U.S. polling, and this is more than 16 times what Gallup found in international polling.
In March 2015, Becker’s Hospital Review featured Lakeland Regional Health on its list of “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.” This honor recognizes organizations that offer great benefits and wellness programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, professional development opportunities and an overall healthy environment that promotes work-life balance. With this honor, Lakeland Regional Health joins a distinguished group of nationally recognized healthcare systems, including Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and MD Anderson, among others. We Promise
