About Lindsborg Community Hospital (LCH) and Rural Health Clinic (LRHC)

LCH has a long and proud history that reflects the growth and needs of the residents of the Smoky Valley.  The present facility, built with community donations and commitment, is a 25-bed licensed Critical Access hospital.  The LRHC was established in 1994. LRHC is comprised of two medical doctors, one APRN and one physician assistant, specializing in family practice.

Our more significant renovations since 2008 include the addition of new glass partitions and flooring in the emergency department, point of care bedside nursing documentation, along with a clinic EMR. In 2011 LCH will put into practice the use of CPOE, as well as, replacement of their CT scanner. Other specialists currently available to our physicians include; Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Podiatry, General Surgery, and Urology.

Living in Lindsborg, KS  (Population 3,370; McPherson County 29,954)

You are about to enter an oasis of culture and ethnic pride called "Little Sweden, USA". Quiet, brick paved, tree-lined streets, beautiful churches, and prestigious Bethany College, a four year private school add to the culture which is Lindsborg. These attributes are due to strong ties to those first settlers who came to the Smoky Valley with hopes of creating a community with strong academic, spiritual and artistic foundations.  These continue to be the goals of the community presently.  Lindsborg is nestled in the rolling hills of the fertile Smoky Valley, abundant in both crop and pastureland, just off I-135 exits 72 and 78.

The Lindsborg community is based on their Swedish immigration and their great love of the arts and music.  The community takes its cultural responsibilities seriously, supporting some 60 artists and a dozen art galleries. Festivals based on Swedish holidays have become favorites of Swedes and non-Swedes alike. Svensk Hyllningfest, Lucia Fest and more prairie oriented Heritage Christmas are among a few.  The “Messiah” Festival is another favorite in its 126th year.
