Mackinac Straits Health System
Mackinac Straits Health System (MSHS), located in Saint Ignace, Michigan is an independent nonprofit corporation operating a 15-bed Critical Access Hospital overlooking the beautiful Straits of Mackinac. Four outpatient service locations and a medical staff of 46, including 21 visiting specialists, offer Straits-area residents and visitors comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and physician clinic services. The system also operates the 48-bed Evergreen Living Center, an Eden Alternative long-term care facility located on the hospital’s main campus. Mackinac Straits Health System became an affiliate of the Munson Healthcare system in July 2015.
Munson Healthcare is a network of nine hospitals that serves 30 counties in northern Michigan. The system of nationally recognized hospitals includes a major tertiary referral medical center and Level II Trauma Center.
