Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is the hospital of choice for many families in the Manatee/Sarasota region. The Women and Children's Center — The Center provides family-centered care throughout the childbirth process. Family-style birthing suites provide a private, comfortable, secure environment with homelike surroundings during labor and after childbirth, and family-focused education programs and support groups are provided for expectant families and those with newborns.

Bradenton is a Florida city on the Manatee River, south of Tampa. The South Florida Museum has natural and cultural history exhibits.
