NBMC's Gold Beach Satellite Clinic is a well established clinic located on the Southern Oregon coast where the Pacific Ocean meets the Rogue River. The clinic is located about 1.5 hours South of our main clinic in Coos Bay. The clinic currently consists of one long-term Family Medicine Physician and two Physican Assistants who serve patients living throughout Curry County. Curry General Hospital is a beautiful facility (construction was complete in May, 2017) that is located within walking distance of the clinic.
Gold Beach is the home of the Curry County Courthouse and is the Curry County Seat. The population, including the outerlying areas is about 2,500 people. There are plenty of things to do all year around including, whale watching, storm watching, camping, swimming, paddle boarding, windsurfing, fishing and hunting.
The community’s natural resources draw large numbers of tourists and sport fishermen to the area. Annual festivals and events include America’s Wild Rivers Coast Seafood, Art & Wine Festival, Rogue River Salmon Derby Competition, Fisherman’s Fish Fry, and Clam Chowder Festival. There are a variety of great shops and restaurants to visit as well.
