Healogics Specialty Physicians (HSP) is a division of Healogics that recruits, hires and supports physicians who work in the wound centers.  As an HSP physician, you will be part of a rapidly growing network of wound care professionals dedicated to healing wounds with the best means available.  HSP supports all WCC physicians with a comprehensive training program which includes HBO certification, a mentorship with an experienced regional medical director and ongoing support from and access to medical leaders.  Healogics is dedicated to employing physicians to lead the WCC teams and improve the quality and access to all patients in the community who suffer from non-healing wounds.

The Physicians (MD or DO) and Nurse Practioners (NP) is the main medical care provider in the wound care center and a key leader of the care team. 

Care is provided to patients throughout the US annually and consists of patient care assessments, aggressive treatment such as wound debridement and use of advanced therapies such as Hyperbaric Oxygen.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • HSP offers a competitive base salary plus bonus based on the revenue generated in the practice.

  • CME offering of $3,000 and up to 5 days. 
  • Medical malpractice is paid by the company and tail if you leave, and have been employed for 4 years. 
  • Wound care training and HBO certification provided by Healogics.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Strong bedside manner and demonstrated ability to work well with patients and other physicians.
  • Leadership abilities to manage care for multiple facilities and work well with a facility’s nursing and administrative staff.
  • Comfort in learning and becoming conversant in new clinical disciplines.
  • Ability to provide education and training for a facility’s nursing staff.
  • Current state licensures and up to date credentialing.
  • Familiarity with Documentation, Billing, and Coding protocols.
