Ozark Center, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, incorporated and started providing behavioral health services in February 1965. Ozark Center became an entity of Freeman Health System in 1996. Ozark Center employs about 500 employees in 30 locations across Jasper, Newton, McDonald and Barton counties, and serves approximately 14,000 clients.
Ozark Center has received the highest possible accreditation score from
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

Ozark Center continually seeks new ways to provide quality services to our clients by exploring new products, services and locations in an effort to provide our clients with quality mental healthcare. Location
Joplin is a city in southern Jasper County and northern Newton County in the southwestern corner of the US state of Missouri. Joplin is the largest city in Jasper County, though it is not the county seat. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 50,150. In 2010, the surrounding Metropolitan Statistical Area had an estimated population of 175,518.
