Penobscot Valley Hospital
Penobscot Valley Hospital (PVH) opened its doors in 1973, and by the year 2000 the hospital became a Critical Access Hospital, which reduced its licensed beds to 15 acute and four swing beds. In 2002, the Hospital Administrative District was dissolved, and PVH became a private non-profit hospital. To this day, PVH continues to evaluate its plant and facility plan for updating, renovations and accommodation of new services and technology. Penobscot Valley Hospital provides dozens of services to our hospital community, including some of the most cutting-edge technologies in the state and new treatment methods.
