Polk Medical Center 1

Polk Medical Center is a 25-bed hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. As a critical access hospital, our team of health care providers offers standard services with the support from Floyd's entire system of comprehensive care. 
 
 The construction of a new hospital is currently underway with the new Polk Medical Center opening in the fall of 2014. The new facility will include a new, larger hospital and medical office building centrally located in Polk County.
 
 The following are only a few of the many highlights of the new Polk Medical Center:
  Surgical program with two state-of-the-art operating rooms
  Dedicated women's diagnostic center that includes digital mammography, ultrasound and bone density scans
  23,000 square foot medical office building to house up to six physician offices as well as several outpatient programs
  12-room emergency room designed with an opportunity to expand
