Prisma Health Patewood Medical Campus
Prisma Health is a not-for-profit health company and the largest healthcare system in South Carolina. With nearly 30,000 team members, 18 acute and specialty hospitals, 2,947 beds and more than 300 outpatient sites with nearly 2,000 physicians, Prisma Health serves more than 1.2 million unique patients annually in its 21-county market area that covers 50% of South Carolina. Prisma Health’s goal is to improve the health of all South Carolinians by enhancing clinical quality, the patient experience and access to affordable care, as well as conducting clinical research and training the next generation of medical professionals.
Patewood Hospital, located on the Patewood Medical Campus, provides a convenient location and a state-of-the-art, relaxing healing environment. Patients come to Patewood Hospital for orthopaedic and gynecologic surgeries as well as obstetric services at The Family Birthplace–Patewood and Family Beginnings–Patewood.
Numbers can say a lot of things, but one that we’re proud of is that 92 percent of patients at Patewood Hospital report on HCAHPS (a nationwide patient satisfaction survey) that they would “definitely recommend this hospital to others.” Only 24 hospitals in the country scored a higher percentage. We want our patients to have a great experience at Patewood, and it shows in our care.

Greenville is a beautiful city in the northwest corner of South Carolina on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte. We are close to beautiful mountains, several lakes and a few hours away from Hilton Head and Charleston. Greenville is among the fastest growing areas in the U.S. due to the wonderful climate and economic stability. Home to major worldwide corporations, the Upstate of South Carolina harbors the largest per capita international economy in the United States, lending an international feel to the area. A mild climate promotes year round outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking and sailing. We enjoy restaurants, outdoor cafes, music on Main Street and festivals year-round. With a beautiful downtown, complete with a natural waterfall and park, we have all the advantages of a large city, but none of the headaches.
