Reid Hospital and Health Care Services

Reid Hospital and Health Care Services Logo Richmond is largely situated within Wayne Township, Wayne County, in east central Indiana, which borders Ohio. The city is sometimes called the Cradle of Recorded Jazz because some early jazz records were made in the Richmond studio of Gennett Records, a division of the Starr Piano Company. The county seat of Wayne County, Richmond had a population of 36,812 in the 2010 Census, and the city has twice received the All-America City Award, most recently in 2009. Richmond's cultural resources include two of Indiana's three Egyptian mummies: one at the Wayne County Historical Museum and the second by Earlham College's Joseph Moore Museum. Richmond is rich in historic architecture. Particularly notable buildings are the 1902 Pennsylvania Railroad Station and the 1893 Wayne County Court House. Five large districts, such as the Depot District, and several individual buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Historic American Buildings Survey and the Historic American Engineering Record.
