Russell County Medical Center (RCMC) was founded in 1938. The hospital is a 78-bed general acute care facility offering a wide range of services including: a 7-bed emergency department; a 5-bed intensive care unit; and a 20-bed adult, inpatient psychiatric unit. The facility offers a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services including: radiography; fluoroscopy; computed tomography (CT); ultrasound; nuclear medicine; and a mobile MRI.
