The Hospital

Sentara RMH Medical Center is a 238-bed, independent, not-for-profit community hospital located in the beautiful and historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. For nearly 100 years, SRMH has delivered advanced medical care to its seven-county service area.  Services provided at SRMH in 2015 included over 13,000 inpatient visits, 1,700 babies delivered, 21,000 surgical patients, 18,000 cancer treatments, and 75,00 emergency department visits. In June 2010, SRMH opened its new, state-of-the-art hospital, located on a 254-acre site located in Harrisonburg. This new LEED Gold certified facility brings the latest in health and wellness to the community.
