ORGANIZATION

Archbold Medical Center is a growing regional healthcare system that operates four hospitals, three nursing homes, a behavioral health facility, home health agencies (which include home health and hospice services) and a network of clinics and facilities in a 16-county area of south Georgia and north Florida. Archbold employs more than 2,500 people and partners with more than 200 qualified medical staff specialists.

MedicalCenter facilities are accredited by the Joint Commission. JohnD.ArchboldMemorialHospital (in Thomasville, GA) is the MedicalCenter s largest hospital with 264 beds. Affiliate hospitals, also in Georgia, include BrooksCountyHospital in Quitman, GradyGeneralHospital in Cairo, and MitchellCountyHospital in Camilla.

SERVICES

Archbold Memorial Hospital is home to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center (including Trilogy and the region s only Gamma Knife non-invasive, precision brain surgery program), the R. Charles Loudermilk, Sr., Heart and Vascular Center (home of Georgia Trend s highest ranked Coronary Intervention program south of Atlanta), the Southwest Georgia Dialysis Facility and the only Level II Trauma Center in south Georgia. Archbold also offers some of the least invasive surgical treatment options available in our region. The daVinci robotic surgical system provides an effective, minimally invasive alternative to both open surgery and laparoscopy.

The MedicalCenter offers a wide array of services ranging from the area s only aquatic therapy rehabilitation program to a unique Women s Center for diagnostic services, and South Georgia s only comprehensive Bariatric Weight Loss Program, featuring Lap-Bandweight loss surgery. Patients also benefit from advanced technology like telemedicine, digital mammography and an in-house PET scanner.
