Located in central Washington, about 20 miles south east of the city of Yakima, Toppenish consists of a community of approximately 9,000 people located entirely within the bounds of the Yakima Indian Nation. The town has preserved its beginnings as a rugged western town through restoration and beautification efforts that have made it a popular tourist attraction today. Situated in the heart of Washington's famed fruit and wine country, Toppenish's warm temperatures, cool evenings, and 300 days of sunshine a year make it a great place to live and work.

Toppenish Community Hospital is a 63-bed facility located in central Washington that has been providing excellent medical care to the Yakima and Lower Valleys for 58 years. It provides a full complement of medical services, including 24-hour Level IV trauma, emergency services, expanded surgery capabilities, state-of-the-art family maternity center, advanced pediatrics area, and Native American spiritual center. The hospital was recognized for superior infection control rates and hand hygiene in 2009, and received a Thompson-Reuters Top 100 award for patient care.
