University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis and is affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. We provide a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation. Our doctors apply innovative approaches to creating medical breakthroughs based their work with patients and on findings through research at the University of Minnesota. This has led to several firsts, including the first successful pediatric blood marrow transplant, infant heart transplant in Minnesota and cochlear ear implant surgery for a child. The hospital also is home to Minnesota’s only children's behavioral inpatient unit and programming exclusively devoted to children ages 12 and younger. University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital features one of the three largest kidney transplant programs in the world specializing in infants and small children.
