Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC) is a not-for-profit health care provider committed to serving the health care needs of Miami County, Ohio, and the surrounding area. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services are provided with a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services and behavioral health care programs.
Upper Valley Medical Center is located on a beautiful 130-acre campus is conveniently located directly off Interstate 75. We are also located 25 miles north of Dayton and within an hour’s drive to Columbus and Cincinnati and within 15 minutes to the Dayton International Airport. Within the past few years, Upper Valley Medical Center has significantly expanded our Cancer Care Center, doubled the size of our medical office building, purchased a Da Vinci Robot, opened an inpatient Hospice Unit and a state of the art Wound care Center. In addition we are currently expanding our Emergency Department due to continued growth and support by the community!
Upper Valley Medical Center today is part of Premier Health, a comprehensive health system serving southwestern Ohio through member and affiliate organizations in seven counties. Premier is dedicated to improving the quality of health by enhancing access to health services, expertise and information at every stage of life. Residents of Miami County appreciate the friendliness, security, diverse activities and civic involvement of a smaller community while taking advantage of additional cultural and professional sporting events in nearby Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton. Cincinnati and Columbus are within an hour’s drive and Dayton is only a 20 minute drive. Abounding in historic attractions, Miami County is site for several museums, numerous parks and golf courses, an indoor ice arena, cultural centers, two country clubs, and a wildlife preserve. The housing market is excellent providing a fine array of living options including new subdivisions, established neighborhoods, and historic neighborhoods. There are many educational options in Miami County including excellent public schools, parochial schools, a Montessori School (ages 3-12), and a Christian school (preschool through high school). Sixteen colleges and universities are also located nearby, including Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, where many Upper Valley Medical Center physicians hold faculty appointments.
