VA Butler Healthcare provides primary care, behavioral health, specialized extended care, physical rehabilitation medicine, and residential substance abuse treatment serving over 18,000 Veterans in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The facility operates 60 nursing home care beds, 10 compensated work therapy, and 56 domiciliary beds. The outpatient programs generate approximately 125,000 visits per year. Specialized care is available through the following programs: respite care, homeless Veterans program, mental hygiene clinic, home based primary care, community health care, hospice, and adult day health care. The facility also operates four community-based outpatient clinics within 30 miles of the primary campus.
