COMMUNITY
Chamberlain is located on the bluffs of the Missouri River and nestled along side the Lewis and Clark Trail. The economic base of the community is largely agricultural, however tourism is a vital part of the economy too. Chamberlain is home to the South Dakota Hall of Fame, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and the Native American Scenic Byway.
EDUCATION
Chamberlain has educational opportunities for every age. The public school system covers K-12 with one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. The communities served by the public school system are Chamberlain, Oacoma and Pukwana. There are 350 children enrolled in the Chamberlain High School. St. Joseph s Indian School is a private, residential school serving the Native American youth.
RECREATION
Because of Chamberlain s unique location on the banks of the Missouri River ..summer recreation is endless! If you enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, biking or hiking Chamberlain would be a great place for you and your family.

Mid-Dakota Hospital is a 25-bed facility providing both inpatient and outpatient services. Among the services offered in-house are Laboratory, Radiology, Respiratory Care, Medical Surgical, Maternity Care, Newborn Care and Rehabilitation Services.
