Since 1952, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital has provided Franklin County residents with quality healthcare close to home, in a family-friendly atmosphere. From Boone's Mill and Wirtz to Hardy and Smith Mountain Lake, our neighbors rely on our comprehensive services for care when they need it, and they do so with good reason.

Upgraded in 2006, our 37-bed hospital features an expanded emergency room, a new three-story medical office building, and an outpatient surgical suite. We’ve enhanced the physical rehab department, and expanded the specialty clinic area. And while we enjoy the ability to provide state-of-the-art technology services such as MRI, CT scans, and 3-D ultrasound diagnostics, we remain a community-owned not-for-profit facility governed by a local board.
