Carilion Giles munity Hospital is now open in Pearisburg, Va. Located on the hilltop behind the Wal-Mart shopping center, Carilion Giles Community Hospital (CGCH) is staffed with the same dedicated team that has brought quality healthcare to this region for decades.
CGCH opened its doors for patients on May 22, 2010, continuing as a 25-bed critical access facility. The new hospital is one-third larger than the former Giles Memorial and is designed to serve this community for many, many years to come.
As one floor covering 85,000 square-feet, the hospital is organized to help the patient quickly navigate among services. As you enter the beautiful lobby, you'll see a Giles County mural painted by artist Robert Tuckwiller. It highlights all the natural wonders and beauty of the Giles area.
The check-in window is conveniently located to the right. The main entrance serves as the access point for all walk-in patients such as those needing emergency care, diagnostics, rehabilitation and other outpatient services. Our volunteer and guest services team is to the left of the main entrance and is there to help visitors navigate to patient rooms or to waiting areas.
The Emergency Department is larger than its Giles Memorial predecessor with eight exam rooms. The hospital also has a larger lab and imaging area, as well as the additions of nuclear medicine, digital mammography, 64-slice CT, bone densitometry and ultrasound.
The hospital's Garden Cafe has indoor and outdoor dining for employees and visitors alike. Guests will enjoy dynamic views from the beautiful memorial garden.
Carilion Giles Community Hospital has begun a new era in healthcare.
