CentraState Medical Center

CentraState Medical Center is an acute-care medical center licensed for 284 beds. The medical center became a teaching hospital in 2005 with the launch of its' Family Medicine Residency Program in conjunction with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Also in 2010, the hospital was re-designated with Magnet status for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) of the American Nurses Association. Freehold is located in Monmouth County in central New Jersey, and is an attractive, culturally diverse, and thriving community within close proximity to New York City and Philadelphia, and just a 20-minute drive from the Jersey Shore with its outstanding park system and abundance of recreational activities.  Nearby Red Bank provides art galleries, live theater and an art cinema, as well as the landmark Count Basie Theater and new Two River Theater.  Good schools and a variety of housing options make Monmouth County a great place to raise a family.
